Eric Gordon isn't holding back: "I'm just not having fun man... This sucks. "

A lot of people expected the Houston Rockets to have the same or even better season then they did last year. Last season they were facing off in the western conference finals against the Warriors after they won 60+ games in the regular season. They had some bad luck when it comes to the injury of Chris Paul during that series against the Warriors but also some part of this season as well.

After 23 games so far this season the Rockets are one of the worst teams of the of western conference and things are not looking good. The main core of the team remained the same, but you could definitely tell they are missing an integral part from the last season and that Trevor Ariza who provided them a lot of flexibility on both ends of the floor and he perfectly fit into their system. Still, you would think that a trio of Chris Paul, James Harden, and Eric Gordon could together win more games because that is a very talented group of players.

According to Eric Gordon, he believes some players are not used in the right manner and at the moment he is not happy with the position they are in.

“I’m just not having fun man,” Gordon said. “I’m just not. This sucks. Even the times where I have good games. We’re just not using some guys the right way. Are we gonna make the right sacrifices? Do we have the right attitude?

Gordon compared the last season which was the best experience so far in his career to this one that turns out to be a disappointment.

“Last year was the best year I’ve ever had being a part of a team,” he added. “We just never had a bad moment. If we ever had a bad game as a team, you knew the next game we would blow somebody out. It didn’t matter who it was.”

It remains to be seen if this is just a slower period for the Rockets and while things might get better, it definitely sounds alarming when a player speaks out about what is going on around the team and where might be the problem. The Rockets have too much talent and experience so they will have to figure it out soon and make proper adjustments. The season is still long and this might just be a bump on the road for some better things down the road.
