Edwards stands up for James: "I've never seen so many people be so happy to see an athlete fail more than LeBron."

Even though the Lakers barely made it to the playoffs after beating the Warriors in the play-in, many people (including myself) thought they would find their way to the Finals yet again. Boy, we were wrong.

It turns out nobody can beat time, not even the great LeBron James. And slowly but surely, we're beginning to see the wear and tear on his body and an apparent decline in his physicality.

LeBron haters couldn't wait for this to happen and were ecstatic after the Lakers lost Game 6 and were eliminated from championship contention. With Anthony Davis' groin injury, LeBron simply lacked the star power to beat the young and hungry Suns, lead by one of the best floor generals in recent NBA history — Chris Paul. After defeating the Lakers, Phoenix has skyrocketed in NBA odds and is a legit contender with an 8-1 chance of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy this year.
