Dwyane Wade has an interesting suggestion on which teams should play in Christmas games
The Christmas Day games are always some of the best and most memorable ones, and tomorrow we'll have the opportunity to watch a couple of them. That day is usually reserved for a matchup between the best teams in the league in front of a large audience. Throughout the league history, we saw numerous great games and individual performances, and players themselves often said there is a special type of energy in the arena, and players give 100 percent.
Dwyane Wade played in a few of these games and believed the players should earn their right to play in a Christmas Day game. Since the season schedule is set before the season starts, players are aware that they are playing on Christmas, and Wade thinks there should be an element of surprise.
Proposal: Christmas games should be earned. Let's have an element of surprise in the schedule. The teams that are playing well are the ones that needs to be playing on Christmas Day. Reward the teams just like we reward players with an in season AllStar game.
Whether this is feasible or not, it's an exciting proposal from Wade. However, some players probably wouldn't mind resting on Christmas Day because already several of them spoke out how they would rather spend time with their families and therefore avoid playing that day. On the other hand, Wade enjoyed his every Christmas game, and he participated in the 13th of them throughout his illustrious career.
