Doc Rivers still thinks Stephen Curry is an underrated player in the NBA

Stephen Curry once again showed his brilliance in the first game of the playoffs against the Clippers. His 38 points are not a surprise but his 15 rebounds that game were, and those are his career high in rebounds. That game served everyone as a reminder that Curry should always be considered in the MVP conversations even though he has two of those trophies sitting at home.

It's also worth mentioning that Stephen Curry is first this season in offensive rating, first in net ranking and first in cumulative +/-. Even though he missed some games he still played a good chunk of the season and averaged over 27 points per game in a very efficient fashion.

Despite all these numbers and stats, Curry is considered to be underrated and Doc Rivers, the head coach of the Clippers shared the same observations about Steph. He believes still underrated despite his tremendous impact on the Warriors and his opponents.

I was telling my coaching staff, I still think Stephen Curry is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. I don't even know how that happens but he is. He is taken for granted.
