Derrick Rose is back and he is playing on an MVP level for the Pistons

One of the most surprising things early this season is the transformation of Derrick Rose. After suffering several injuries early in his career, the youngest MVP in NBA history changed several teams since leaving Chicago. Even though he was still a productive player, none of these teams wasn't ready to give him a more extended contract. This summer, Rose signed with the Detroit Pistons a two-year deal, and it seems the Pistons made the right decision by acquiring him.

At the age of 31, Rose is playing at a level we haven't seen from him in over 5 years. Even though it's still early in the season and Rose played in only 3 games so far, his performances coming off the bench were pretty remarkable. He is averaging 25 points per game, shooting incredibly efficient from the field at an astonishing 64 percent. Rose accepted a different role in this team and is coming off the bench for Reggie Jackson, who hasn't had a great season so far.

It isn't realistic Rose will continue shooting so well as he did in the three games he played so far; however, the Pistons are hoping Rose can be as productive as he can before Blake Griffin returns from his injury. Despite playing like an MVP, the Pistons lost 2 out of their 3 games, and other players will have to step up their game.

One of the essential things for Rose and his productivity will be his health and ability to avoid further injuries as much as he can. During the summer, he worked a lot with different trainers to get his body in the right shape, and so far, it's paying off. Despite not being the star he used to be several years ago, fans are still excited about seeing Rose healthy and doing things on the court that made him the MVP. Hopefully, for everyone watching NBA, Rose will play as many games as he can and reach the playoffs with the Pistons. This year the Pistons have an excellent chance of actually making the playoffs, and Rose will be an essential factor during that run.
