DeMarcus Cousins highly expected debut for the Golden State Warriors

If it wasn't for DeMarcus Cousins return, last night's game between Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers would be just another regular season game. This was Cousins first game after tearing his left Achilles tendon and he already made a significant impact while being on the floor for the Warriors.

In just 15 minutes of action, Cousins scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and 3 assists. He was efficient from the floor shooting 5 out of 11 and providing the Warriors much needed energy. What was also a bit surprising is that he was able to foul out of the game in those 15 minutes, however, that is understandable since Cousins hasn't played for a long time now and will need some time to adjust.

After the game Cousins was excited about the opportunity of finally playing in an official game, especially since it was a long process for him to fully recover from his injury. He said he felt like it's Christmas once again.

"Felt like a kid on Christmas. It's been a long journey. This is probably one of the best days of my life."

Cousins first basket back was a thunderous dunk from a great pass by Kevin Durant. Cousins couldn't believe his first basket back would be from a pick n roll situation with Durant. He also received a standing ovation from the Warriors bench when he exited the game with 6 fouls.

"I'm just glad to know that I can still dunk. It felt good. I never in a million years thought that would be my first basket playing ball again. Probably the fakest love I've ever received in my life. I'm just going to keep it a million. I honestly don't see how guys like Steph and Klay do it on the daily, where there are cameras around them all day. I don't like it, at all. So hopefully this is the last day of this."

The Warriors have already found their rhythm after a slow start to the season and adding DeMarcus Cousins to the team gives them so many options that it's even scary to think how good they could be in the next couple of weeks.

They will definitely need time to integrate Cousins in the starting lineup, however, after that process is completed, the entire NBA will be in big problems when facing the Warriors. With 5 All-Stars in the starting lineup, the Warriors remind me of the movie "The Avengers" and when Thanos finally reaches his goal and gets all the infinity stone which make him the most powerful being in the universe.

The Warriors are well on that path of almost becoming invincible and the next couple of our months will be interesting to see how this team will function together. Steve Kerr like Thanos in the movie, holds all the power in his hands and it's up to him to decide how to use it.
