DeMar DeRozan praises Alex Caruso: "He’s one of the highest IQ players I’ve played with"

Alex Caruso's impact on the floor does not reflect only in his points. As seen in several games with the Chicago Bulls, Caruso can still contribute on the other end of the floor, doing small things that help his team win. DeMar DeRozan has taken notice and offered praise for the shooting guard.

Caruso's high IQ impressed DeRozan

Caruso's impact on the floor for Chicago goes beyond his dunks worthy of top 10 daily highlights. As evident in the game against the L.A. Clippers, Alex struggled offensively but still ended up with the best +/- on the floor. His versatility also showed, as he shared positions with DeMar DeRozan in the small forward spot and made good in guarding the opposing team's star player. For new teammate, DeRozan, Caruso's high IQ was on full display.

"Man, he's one of the highest IQ players I've played with, since I've been in the game. And just to have somebody with that natural IQ on the court, he makes so many things easier for you. Offensively and defensively. He kind of anchors us, especially defensively, taking on the challenge of guarding PG. And you gotta feed off that."
