D-Wade's swan song

Fan is short for fanatic. You probably don’t think about it often, but the name itself gives you some room for being irrational. The official definition of a fanatic is ‘’a person exhibiting excessive enthusiasm and intense uncritical devotion toward some controversial matter”. Today Dwyane Wade fans will use that prerogative to the max.

D-Wade came off the bench for Miami and had 28 pts on 11-16 shooting, 7 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl and his +/- was +16 carrying the Heat to a 113 – 103 win over the 76ers. You don’t need to know what all of this means, I am just preparing you for what your D-Wade friend will use while texting and posting on social media all day right next to ‘’I WOULD STILL TAKE HIM OVER insert player name ANY DAY” and “BEST VALUE CONTRACT IN THE NBA”.

It's fine, let them have this day. Don’t get me wrong, D-Wade was crucial in winning this game for the Heat and on certain nights he can still bring it. When most great players talk about the late stage of their career they point out the main issue is you just don’t have it every night. Some nights you feel young and fresh, you can run up the court, dunk and defend like you are 21. Other nights, you just feel like you are 36 playing in your 16th season.
