With just over 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' 107-99 win over Atlanta, Chris and Juliana Carlos got into it with James. The latter pulled down her mask to shout at the Lakers' superstar, prompting the arena security to escort the group away from the court.
Juliana later posted a video on her Instagram account captioned "fuc*king looser," showing a part of her on-court spat with James. According to Carlos, she was shouting at LBJ to defend her husband - a longtime Hawks' fan - who, as she described, "has this issue with LeBron." The two got into a verbal back and forth, which led to Juliana getting involved once she felt James took it too far.
Anyway, I'm minding my own business, drinking my [beverage], having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this, and I stand up. And I go, 'Don't f---ing talk to my husband.' And he looks at me, and he goes, 'Sit the f--- down, bitch.' And I go, 'Don't f---ing call me a bitch. You sit the f--- down. Get the f--- out of here. Don't f---ing talk to my husband like that.'
LeBron, who finished the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, shared his side of the story during the post-game interview, saying an ejection might've been unnecessary.
At the end of the day, I'm happy fans are back in the building. I miss that interaction. I need that interaction; we, as players, need that interaction. I don't feel like it was warranted to be kicked out.

However, the social media LeBron didn't miss his chance to add some fuel to the fire after he tweeted about the incident, referring to Carlos with a slang commonly used to mock "obnoxious, angry, entitled, middle-aged white woman."
James' tweet led to the hashtag #CourtsideKaren trending worldwide, prompting some hilarious reaction from both the fans and public figures -- NBA players included. Despite the hostile nature of the interaction, they all agree on one thing -- it's great to have fans at NBA games again.
