Charles Barkley is against fans voting for the All-Star game: "“Look what happened the last time they made a big decision…get a clue: White House”

Charles Barkley is known as someone who is very expressive and who isn't afraid to speak his mind. Barkley has been like that since he was a player and that behavior continued later in his new career as a studio analyst for the TNT show "Inside the NBA".

Some of his recent remarks had a political overtone and were aimed at the fans and the voting system for the All-Star game in February. He pretty much made the comparison between the USA presidential elections in 2016 that voted Donald Trump into the White House and this year's votes for the All-Star game.

Barkley thinks fans shouldn't be allowed to vote because that could lead to some poor decision-making and getting the wrong players in the All-Star game.

“I don’t like the fans voting. Look what happened last time we let them make a big decision. Get a clue: White House”

Charles Barkley has been known for saying a lot of controversial things during his 30-year-long career in basketball and has been a harsh critic of Donald Trump from the early days.

The question in this kind of discourse is whether this kind of communication is acceptable on a show that should be aimed just at basketball without the interference of politics and remarks regarding Trump and other politicians.

It's hard to say where you actually draw the line in this type of communication, however, we live in a world where freedom of speech is acceptable and we're pretty much used to hearing Charles Barkley say a lot of things that make sense and even some that are pretty ridiculous.
