Charles Barkley believes Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are "too soft" to play for the New York Knicks

Former NBA superstar Charles Barkley is known for his provocative statements from time to time and even though most of his comments are usually backed up with no facts, he often has some really interesting comments based on his extensive experience in the NBA for the past 30 years.

The most recent controversial statement Charles Barkley made involves Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and their interest in playing together for the New York Knicks next summer. Barkley basically said that both players won't go to New York because they are not tough enough. This pretty much means Barkley both of them considers soft and unable to handle the pressure that comes with playing for the Knicks.

According to Barkley, they can't handle pressure, people talking about them, they can't handle the scrutiny and the pressure that comes from the media in New York.

Both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will be unrestricted free agents this summer and even though both players are closely connected to the New York Knicks for the past couple of months it is still not sure if they will actually sign with the worst team in the NBA. Irving and Durant are both NBA champions and it's still not sure if they are willing to sign with a team that has shown to be completely incapable of making the playoffs for several years now.

Nevertheless, free agency this summer will be really interesting because we may see some tectonic changes in the NBA landscape that could potentially change the balance of power in the league.
