The free agency is in full swing for the past couple of weeks and a lot of players changed teams and we saw quite a few surprises, especially in the last couple of days when both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George signed for the Los Angeles Clippers. A lot of players received very generous contracts, some even signed contracts they don't deserve based on their performances and some players haven't received any interest so far from teams.
One of the biggest stars among players that are lacking real interest from other teams is without a doubt, Carmelo Anthony. Anthony is currently a 35-year-old future Hall of Famer who played in the last NBA game over 6 months ago and since then it seems there isn't a team in the league willing to take a risk with Carmelo.
Blake Griffin was asked about the topic of teams not interested in signing Carmelo Anthony but also on the topic of fans disrespecting him, predominantly on various social media channels. Griffin who has gone through a lot in the last two years career-wise shared some interesting thoughts on the whole issue.
"It's funny how fickle today's world is with social media. I don't if I remember how good of a player he was and is. Sometimes it's the situation and sometimes it's a year here and a year there but it sucks to see a basketball player when people perceive him as being something he is not. I have a feeling he will turn that around"
