"Bearded Klay" Is Ready For The New Season

Golden State Warriors All-Star Guard Klay Thompson has been getting ready for the new season, as he is seen in a recent Instagram video showing him working on his game, mostly jump shots while supporting a new look. Mostly known for his goatee, Klay is sporting a new bearded look.

Klay has played with a beard before, but he usually kept it trimmed up and tight. This version of his beard is a bit more laidback and unkempt and it kinda suits his personality more. It is a little more “Summer Klay.” It looks like he is growing the hair out a little bit too. But when you’re a three-time NBA champion, one of the best shooters in NBA history, and a bad man on the basketball court, it doesn’t matter what you look like.

Thompson, 28, averaged 20 points per game last season on a career-best 48.8 percent shooting, including 44 percent on threes. He is entering a contract year and there’s no guarantee that he decides to stay with the Golden State Warriors. Many feel that Klay can be the focal point of a winning team or at the very least, the number two option on a legitimate championship contender.

Of course, The Los Angeles Lakers are in the talk as always, as they should have the cap space to sign Thompson next summer and linking up with LeBron James could be exactly what’s needed to unseat the Warriors. It would make for a great story, but that’s still a long way off.
