If somebody told you that the 64-win Phoenix Suns would get torched by Dallas in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semis before the season, not too many people would have believed you. But the Suns crashed down hard on their revenge tour, and the rest of the NBA is letting them know that their arrogance and domination have come to an end.

LeBron warned them last year

The Suns emerged out of nowhere last year and took the league by storm. The core of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and more clicked and formed a very strong unit, going all the way to the Finals. And along the way, they didn't shy away from trash talking and humiliating their opponents, no matter who it was on the other side -- most notable the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James in the first round.

Booker, Crowder, and Payne were all talking crazy due to their dominance over the Purple and Gold, but LeBron made sure to check them and warn them to be humble.

Well, that has aged perfectly a year later. The Suns continued their trash-talking prowess and arrogance into this season. Sure, dominating the league and getting 64 wins justified all the confidence, but along the way, the Suns got on the bad side of a lot of teams, and it showed in the playoffs.

The young and resilient Pelicans gave them trouble in the first round, but they survived. However, the Mavericks weren't the same story. Suns took a 2-0 lead, dominated, and let the Mavs know about it. Devin Booker was yapping in Luka's year, calling him out for flopping and telling Jalen Brunson he was too small.

Well, it all backfired as the Mavs turned it around and advanced to the Western Finals in dominating fashion, leaving the Suns in shambles after such an amazing regular season. The rest of the NBA world was shocked, and Anthony Edwards had one of the most notable reactions:

"I remember we was playing Phoenix, they was talking so much sh*t telling us we better make the playoffs, we wont make the playoffs. We out of the playoffs but this is a disgrace", Edwards said on his IG Live.

Ant might be a trash-talker himself, but even he felt the Suns were getting a bit too pretentious and arrogant during the regular season. Luka and the Mavs putting them in their place definitely felt good for a lot of the guys that were on the wrong side of the Suns' wins and talking throughout the year.
