Another Historic Season by Russell Westbrook

Russell-Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is having yet another MVP-like season for OKC. Russ is currently averaging 25.6 PPG, 10.1 APG & 9.9 RPG while increasing his shooting percentage from the field to 45%. He is turning the ball less and is more efficient than he was last season.

Oklahoma is currently 6th on West with a 45-34 record and is still in fighting to remain in the playoff race with 3 games left to go in the regular season.

There is quite a good chance Russell will have yet another season where he averaged a triple-double for the whole year. With 3 games left he needs 41 rebounds (13.7 per game) and 22 assists to secure his name in NBA history as the only player to achieve such an accomplishment.

Thunder are hosting Houston Rockets and probably this year's MVP James Harden on Sunday. The Rockets have concluded this season as the best team in the regular season. After Houston, they're hosting Miami Heat and in their last game, they are playing against a very poor Grizzlies team.

Russ will probably play more minutes as usual, simply because OKC needs those 3 wins to secure another chance to win the championship. There are a lot of implications why this is an important season for OKC and Russell Westbrook in general, so we're confident Russ will raise his game even more in the upcoming weeks.
