Kobe Bryant thinks Vince Carter could probably still win the dunk contest at the age of 42

The dunk contest during the All-Star weekend is not what it used to be and the NBA community knows it. Apart from relatively recent dunk contest where Aaron Gordon and Zach LaVine gave the fans what they really want, there hasn’t been a memorable one for the past couple of years which is raising concerns across social media.

To be completely honest, this year’s dunk contest was also one that wasn’t very interesting and you could even say the three-point contest is slowly but surely becoming more popular among the fans.

In a recent interview, Kobe Bryant joined Tracy McGrady where they discussed several things and one of them was the dunk contest. Kobe thinks that Vince Carter who is 42 years old would actually win if he competed

Vince is out there windmilling man. I think he should enter the dunk contest. He would be a 42-year-old dunk contest champion. This guy was doing stuff back in the day, these kids still can’t do to this day. He should compete because he would win another one. Have you seen the dunk contest these last few years?

Tracy McGrady didn’t agree with Kobe Bryant’s statement that Vince would win the dunk contest simply because of his age and the fear of getting injured. Nevertheless, it would be cool if Vince gave it a shot one last time before he retires from the NBA, which will probably happen after this season.
