James Harden is the main candidate to win the MVP award this season by doing remarkable things on the offensive side of the floor. Harden is currently averaging 36 points per game which haven’t been done since Kobe Bryant averaged over 35 points per game in the season 2005/06.
Based on those stats a lot of fans started to compare these two players and how their style of play impacts their teams.
In a recent interview with Power 106, Kobe shared his thoughts on James Harden, his season so far and, what it means to have a player like that on your team when it comes to winning games.
“I think what he is doing is brilliant. The true marker of brilliance is when people get tired talking about how brilliant it is and actually try to minimize it. He is doing it so often and it’s become a standard so people are tired talked about him in superlatives. Now they are trying to minimize it and try to create a story out o that. James is playing at a ridiculously high level and he is helping his team win ball games with all the injuries they had. People want to talk about the style of his play he is using but that is irrelevant at this point.”
