Kendrick Perkins gave a major compliment to Kawhi Leonard by comparing him to Michael Jordan

Kawhi Leonard has been one of the most efficient players in the playoffs so far, contributing on both ends of the floor. The Raptors are leading 3-1 in series against the Magic with the fifth game being played tonight in front of their home crowd.  Kawhi’s presence was detrimental to their success so far in the playoffs and it really showed how dominant and important he is for the team.

Leonard is averaging 28 points and over 6 rebounds per game while showing a very polished game, especially on offense. Because of that in an interview on ESPN’s show “Get Up”, Kendrick Perkins compared Kawhi to none other than Michael Jordan.

Perkins said the similarity lies in the fact that both Kawhi and Jordan are great two-way players capable of dominating both ends of the floor equally.

“This may sound crazy, but Kawhi Leonard reminds me of Michael Jordan. I’m not comparing him to Mike. But if you watch the way he plays, his style, the way he plays the game on both ends – he has a game that mimics Michael Jordan. It’s not all the way fancy. He gets to his spots [on the floor]. He’s got nice turnarounds, big hands, palms the ball. And on the defensive end, he’s probably the best in the game.”

In his four games so far in the 2019 playoffs, Leonard has been exceptional averaging a league-high 41 points per 100 possessions with the game 5 against the Magic scheduled for tonight in Toronto.
