Toronto Raptors are one win away from the NBA championship, and if you asked most of the fans or NBA analysts at the beginning of the season, not a lot of them would say that is even possible. The Raptors management had several good moves by adding the missing pieces and the coaching staff really did an outstanding job so far in the playoffs making necessary adjustments when needed.
For the past couple of seasons, Raptors have been very consistent in making the playoffs, however, they were never able to achieve the final goal which is making it into the finals. With one win away, Raptor fans are hoping to achieve the ultimate goal in their own arena and what is also fascinating is the amount of support they showed their team, even by attending away games.
Kawhi Leonard who is carrying the Raptors on his back to their first championship was asked about the importance of winning a championship and how it could affect the Toronto community moving forward. Kawhi would continue to give a response in his own well know style saying the reporter should ask the fans that same question and probably get a better response.
I’m really not sure. I guess you will have to ask somebody on the street or one of our fans. I’m pretty sure it’s a long time waiting and they are already excited just to be here for the first time. They are going crazy after the eastern conference finals and I don’t know, there is no telling. You probably have to ask like a fan and somebody that is in Canada and living in Canada for a while. I know they are going to be super excited.”
