John Salley shared his thoughts on the teams that he thinks will be contenders for the 2020 NBA Championships.

The Los Angels Clippers are perhaps the biggest winners of this year’s free agency after they signed both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on their roster. They are probably the best two-way players in the league and having them on the same team is pretty scary especially when you take into account they are in their prime years.

In a recent interview for VladTV, ex-NBA player John Salley shared signing Kawhi Leonard is the biggest reason why he believes the Clippers will win the NBA championship next year. He believes Kawhi proved everyone last year he can beat all the great teams in the NBA and with the addition of Paul George coached by Doc Rivers, the Clippers became the biggest powerhouse in the NBA.

“With the look at it, the Clippers will win the western conference finals and I don’t think Milwaukee has what it is to beat them right now as a team coming from the east. The Brooklyn Nets are not ready. The way Clippers are put together and the fact Doc Rivers is there and has guys that will run through a brick wall without me even asking for it. If they stay healthy I’m going with the Clippers.”

Salley thinks the Lakers and the Bucks are right behind the Clippers when it comes to having an actual chance of winning an NBA championship next season. The Lakers in Salley’s mind are definitely a favorite to win the championship, however, the Clippers still have a slight advantage over them mostly because Kawhi and George are seen as a better duo.
