Jimmy Butler saga is finally over!

Jimmy Butler saga is finally over!

It’s finally over!

The saga surrounding Jimmy Butler and his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves ins finally done and over with. Jimmy is heading to the city of brotherly love alongside with Justin Patton while the Timberwolves receive Dario Saric, Robert Covington, and a 2022 second-round pick.

This is pretty much a done deal according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Minnesota has agreed to a deal to send Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia for a package that includes Robert Covington and Dario Saric, league sources tell @ZachLowe_NBA and me.

With this deal, the 76ers have secured another all-star in their team and are now without a doubt one the contenders in the eastern conference. They are getting a two-way guard who can add value immediately while at the same time the Timberwolves are getting rid of a player who apparently didn’t want to be a part of their organization.

With Saric and Covington they are getting 2 players who could possibly immediately be implemented in the starting lineup and provide more depth to their roster.

Fun times are ahead of us, especially in the eastern conference now with the 76ers now adding more essential pieces to their team. It will be interesting to see how quick can Jimmy Butler adapt to Philly’s system where the game was predominantly centered around their big men Joel Embiid.

Butler is known for being a guy who is not afraid to put a lot of pressure on his teammates to win a game, and if they’ll be able to blend his personality into the already working system, 76ers might have a reason to be happy about in the continuation of this season.
