Jerry West on Kawhi Leonard: “It’s hard to describe him. He might be the best two way player in basketball”

Jerry West who is the mastermind behind probably the greatest free agency move in recent NBA history is excited about the opportunity of signing Kawhi and getting Paul George in a trade with the Thunder. West joined the Dan Patrick Show where he shared more insight about his first meeting with Kawhi and what was his first impression about Kawhi.

“I never meet him before the meeting we had with him and he is a wonderful person, he really is.  he is funny, charming. He is a great great player Dan, he might be the best two way player in basketball. When you are around him you don’t really feel that he is quiet. It’s hard to describe him and I have always been a great fan of his, and also Paul George. To have the two on one side is pretty special.

The fact that both Lakers and Clippers are legitimate contenders for an NBA championship, provides much more excitement in games that will be played next season between these two rivals. West is also aware of the fact having two strong teams in the same city, provides a lot more excitement for the fans as well because every regular-season game, will have a playoff-type intensity.

“It should be fun in Los Angeles when these two teams play. It will be like a playoff atmosphere and the city will probably really respond to it. “
