Jayson Tatum shares his top 5 current NBA players and top 10 All-Time

Jayson Tatum is one of the best young players in the NBA, and even though he is only 23 years old, he is very knowledgeable about the game and the players that came before him. In a recent interview for Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, he talked about the best players in the NBA right now and shared his opinion on the top 10 best players in NBA history.

Tatum started his list by naming the best players in the NBA right going by the logic that those who have championships should be there. However, there is one exception to his list: James Harden simply because he is unique and pretty much unstoppable.

I would say LeBron, KD, Steph, James Harden, AD. I really respect the guys on top that have championships. Everybody on my list has a championship, but James Harden is different.

In terms of guys in the NBA that are impossible to guard, Tatum points out Steph Curry simply because of his ability to create chaos on the defensive in so many ways. Curry can create his own shot, scoring from pretty much anywhere on the floor, but his ability to be in constant motion is one of the most underrated aspects of his game.

Steph Curry, because we played a game this year, and Steph had 47. Something about Steph is that he moves well without the ball, and they know when to find him. Anytime he gets it he looks at the rim, and you might jump because you think he is going to shot it. Shooting it from the parking lot so you have to get up on him. I mean Steph, KD, and I would probably say Kyrie and James Harden.

Tatum has a deeper level of respect for Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James because he considers them the best players in NBA history. Tatum competes with LeBron since he came into the league and learned so much from him during that process. Kobe mentored him for a few years before he passed away, and Michael Jordan because it’s impossible to neglect what he accomplished in his legendary career.

I will say that anybody that doesn’t have Mike, Kobe, and LeBron in their top five I have a hard time listening to. I think those three are cemented, and nobody should ever question that.

When it comes to his top 10 list of best NBA players, apart from Kobe, LeBron, and Jordan, Tatum mentioned seven other players that he considers the greatest in the entire NBA history. Surprisingly enough, the majority of them are big men.

In no order, I got Magic Johnson, Bird, Shaq, Hakeem, Tim Duncan, Kareem, and I guess Bill Russell.
