Jalen Rose believes Kyrie Irving’s teammates can’t wait for him to leave this summer

Things are not looking good for the Boston Celtics. They are down 3-1 against the Bucks, and their chance of making it to the eastern conference finals are really slim. After winning game 1, the Bucks adapted and won three straight, and it will be interesting to see if the Celtics can respond in game 5.

One of the biggest reasons why Celtics are struggling is the lack of support they’re getting from their star players, and it’s mostly Kyrie Irving’s efficiency on top of many other things. There was a lot of conversation about him potentially leaving the Celtics and if they end up not making it into the finals, the probability of him actually leaving increases dramatically.

Jalen Rose who’s a former player and NBA analyst on the show “Get Up” said that the Celtics are struggling due to the fact he is a ball dominant player which is a style of basketball not suitable if they want to win a championship. Jalen also said his teammates can’t wait for him to leave this summer.

“From the day they signed Kyrie. They used to be pace and space team where the ball and the movement dictated who got the shot. Kyrie Irving is a ball dominant, isolation player. They used to be a team in which Al Horford who is a center led them in assists and that was their style. Now they’ve chosen to give Kyrie the ball and take them home and show he can be the best player on a contending team. But he is done in Boston and if you are ready for this, his teammates will help him pack. They can’t wait for him to leave.”
