After their playing careers are over, former NBA players get involved with a lot of different ventures. A lot of them are still related to basketball, some are in business, but former NBA player Spud Webb was able to combine basketball and striptease.

In 2011, the lockout happened, and since there was no NBA, a lot of basketball events and leagues were going around at the same time. A basketball club called Ricks Cabaret was trying to create a stripper league. Spud Webb was named head coach for that team but also served in the role of a consultant.

Spud said he was impressed with the ladies and believed it’s a tremendous source of entertainment for NBA fans who had to go through the problems of the lockout season.

“These ladies are fabulous and have obvious talents and skills. I can’t think of a better way to entertain long-suffering NBA fans.”

Spud’s engagement didn’t last very long with the team, and he resigned relatively soon by saying he didn’t have any real intention of coaching Rick’s Cabaret/New York Stripper Basketball Team. That was contrary to the videos of him saying, “It’s a dream job.”
