If you think about the future of the NBA in regards to the upcoming players, it’s definitely in good hands with all the talented young players in the league at the moment. Two of these players are actually in the MVP conversations this year, not just because of their tremendous individual performances but also because their teams are playing extremely well this season and directly competing for an NBA championship.
Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both 25 and leading their teams to the best records in recent years and in a legitimate position to win an NBA title. Prior to their game last night Joel Embiid said that he believes he is the best player on the league even though his name is not mentioned in the MVP conversations as much as James Harden’s or Giannis are.
I asked Giannis what he thought about Joel Embiid calling himself the most unstoppable player in the NBA on March 20. Here’s what Giannis had to say: pic.twitter.com/gFuMz54WVW

Giannis responded to these comments saying that it’s the other players and fans who should be calling him great rather than him proclaiming that for himself. However, he did give out a compliment for Embiid as being one of the hardest players to guard in the NBA at this moment.
“If he believes he’s the most unstoppable player in the NBA that’s good for him. Obviously, he’s a really good player. He’s hard to guard, He’s a hard player to guard. I think, like, other people should say that about you, you don’t say that about yourself.”
