Dwight Howard believes the Toronto Raptors had the perfect combination of players to beat the Golden State Warriors

It came as a surprise to many the fact that the Toronto Raptors won the championship against the Golden State Warriors. Even though the Warriors lost two of their key players during the series, the Raptors did a great job in getting prepared for every game and exploiting weaknesses of the defending champions.

The Raptors have made serious adjustments to their roster in the past year by adding Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Marc Gasol who all had extensive playoff experience.

Dwight Howard was one of the players who commented on the Raptors championship run and said he wasn’t surprised by them winning this series because most of the players on their roster have won championships or experienced deep playoff runs in their careers. Dwight also said the experience they gained from this year’s championship will help them in the upcoming years if they keep the same core of players.

“They now have a lot of guys that have been on teams that went to the championship or deep in the playoffs and I think that experience really helped them with this series. If you look at the roster from Toronto they basically have every team that has beat Golden State. So, I think all that knowledge that they learned from playing against Golden State Warriors over the years, they put it together with what Toronto is doing and they are killing it.”
