Dwight Howard believes Kobe Bryant was more skilled than Michael Jordan

Dwight Howard was at one point one of the biggest stars in the NBA, but his career started to take a wrong turn couple of seasons after he left Orlando Magic. He changed several teams and the injuries he had didn’t help his development as a player properly. To be honest, Dwight also didn’t put a lot of effort into improving his game and his role has been reduced in teams he recently played for.

When Dwight joined the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2012 to help Kobe Bryant win another championship, many expected the Lakers to be a dominant team for several years to come. However, that didn’t happen because there was a big clash of egos and it seemed at that time that Howard couldn’t co-exist with Kobe Bryant on the same team.

That didn’t stop Howard to think highly of Kobe and in a recent appearance on Gilbert Arenas podcast, he said Kobe Bryant was superior to Michael Jordan in terms of skillset.

“I think he is better than Jordan and I only say that because I felt like everything Jordan did, he did it better.”

Whether Howard’s observation about Kobe Bryant is something most NBA fans would agree with or not, it’s definitely a valid statement that gives more insight into the greatness of Bryant. Even though Jordan has more accolades in his career, it was always obvious he is one of the most skilled players in NBA history.
