Draymond Green was asked about Kawhi Leonard’s emotionless reactions when scoring the ball

Ahead to tonight’s game 2 of the NBA finals, among many topics that were discussed between reporters and players were also the emotions that characterize each player. Draymond Green who is known as someone very vocal and emotional on almost every play the Warriors run was asked about the difference in the approach to the game in comparison to someone like Kawhi Leonard.

Kawhi, on the other hand, is known across the league as one of the quietest players with a very calm personality and an astonishing work ethic that in parallel with all the talent was destined for success. He established himself as one of the best players in the league today and yet somehow Kawhi almost never shows any kind of emotion on the court.

Draymond Green said the beauty of the sport is that there are different players with a different type of emotions that helped them succeed in basketball. He also said he would never have that type of cold personality as Kawhi because he believes those wouldn’t work for him

No, I don’t want to be Kawhi and have Kawhi emotions. The way Kawhi goes about his game and his emotions because that didn’t get me where I am today. So I don’t aspire to be Kawhi in a way he emotionally approaches the game of basketball. That set of emotions hasn’t worked for me and my emotions haven’t worked for him. That is the unique thing about basketball. I think that is also one of the reasons fans can’t really relate because if you see one guy act one way they think the second guy will act the same way and that is really unique about our sport.
