Is there such a thing as the perfect basketball player? A few NBA history players could be considered ‘perfect’ because they had the total package and were equally as dominant on offense and defense. This attribute also depends on what fans prefer about individual players, whether we’re talking about athleticism, basketball IQ, shooting, durability, or something else.
Damian Lillard, a great player in his own right and probably one of the best pure scorers in the game today commented on which skillset he would take from any player in NBA history to make a perfect player. One of his followers on Twitter asked Dame this question, and he immediately responded.
Dame would take Jordan’s athleticism, LeBron’s durability, and Durant’s size and skillset.

Even though you can argue each of these players that Lillard mention have all of these attributes combined to a certain degree, it’s also true that each of these players is very much different from each other. Jordan was an absolute beast in every single aspect of the game. LeBron just finished his 17th NBA season, and if you didn’t know he is 35, you would think he is ten years younger because of the way he plays the game. Durant is a seven-footer capable of doing everything guards can do, but even better.
In that sense, there is no question that a combination of these skillsets Lillard mentions would create a perfect player in every possible way.
