Steph Curry believes teams still want to get revenge on the Warriors

It hasn’t been that long since the Golden State Warriors ran the league. Their dynasty was practically unbeatable, and some teams and especially players didn’t forget their dominance. While the Warriors are showing signs of improvement this season, they are still far away from their glory days. For a lot of teams, it’s still payback time.

“That’s something Draymond said earlier in the locker room. Even when we’re playing well, we won three in a row; teams still want to beat us and beat us bad. They still have a lot of memories from the last five, six years.”

And the Lakers did just that. It could be indicative that Curry said that after the loss against LeBron James. The Warriors are the sole reason LeBron has ‘only’ four rings on his hand. So maybe Steph wanted to put it out there, or he was just frustrated the way the Lakers double-teamed him almost the whole game, so he had only 16 points. Or maybe he sees that LeBron is putting in a little more effort to beat the Warriors every chance he gets. In their last four games versus each other, the Lakers have won three of them.

Steve Kerr, however, has a different mindset than his star player. The Warriors coach doesn’t want to make a big deal about the recent loss against the Lakers.

“I’ve been in the league long enough to know there’s going to be a handful of games every year that are sort of inexplicable, and this is one that you don’t spend too much time on. You flush it down the toilet. You move on.”

It’s obvious that Kerr won’t allow his team to get down after the tough losses. Their only goal this season is to catch the playoffs, and currently, they’re in a position to make the playoffs; they’re in 8th place of the Western Conference.
