Another NBA finals are upon us and it will feature the defending champions Golden State Warriors and the first time finalist Toronto Raptors. Game 1 is scheduled for Thursday, and while both teams are getting prepared for the final stage, fans are getting tickets for a game that put the city of Toronto into a frenzy.
The ticket prices for game 1 have skyrocketed especially for the courtside seats which are hard to get and only a handful of people have the money to buy them.
StubHub which is a platform for buying sports, theater and concert tickets has recorded someone purchasing two courtside seats for game 1 for the price of $56,876.77USD which is $76,477.50 CAD. To put these numbers into perspective the average Canadian yearly salary is around 55k per year.

The prices for “normal” seats have also skyrocketed and it’s almost impossible to get them all ready but we’re positive the Raptor fans that won’t be attending the game will be present in big numbers on the streets of the same way they were for the past couple of games.
