The Los Angeles Clippers are currently on a 3-game winning streak after their last night’s win against the Phoenix Suns, the NBA hottest team. Even though the Clippers looked good in the previous few games they won, if you take a look at their entire season so far, they’ve been inconsistent. Nobody bought into the notion they are a legitimate title contender, and the last one who talked about the Clippers not being a serious team was the one and only Charles Barkley.
Barkley always speaks whatever on his mind, even though it might rub someone the wrong way, and on the latest episode of Inside the NBA, he made a hilarious comment about the Clippers. He doesn’t believe the Clippers have what it takes to win the championships, despite having all that firepower on their squad.
I’ve been poor, I’ve been rich, I’ve been fat, I’ve been skinny, I’ve been old, I’ve been in the Hall of Fame and one thing I can always tell you, the Clippers have always sucked”Charles Barkley, via Inside the NBA

Barkley isn’t the first one to make this type of comment about the Clippers. Recently, Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe also said they are not buying into the Clippers as a legit title contender because of their inconsistency. They hadn’t shown dominance everybody expected them to have when they formed. On the other hand, Barkley did it more funnily, stating something that many people think and feel about the Clippers. Who knows that the future holds, and when playoffs start, we’ll really see what the Clippers are made of and if they have what it takes to make it out of a tough western conference.
