Whether Kobe Bryant can still play in the NBA and co-exist on the same team as LeBron James is something, that is a no brainer for Caron Butler. The former NBA player hosted on the show Fair Game, where he talked about the current status of the Lakers and how well would, for example, Kobe Bryant fit in if he was still playing in the league.
Butler, who was Kobe’s former teammate, is still close to him and thinks he is more than capable of being a productive player. Kobe’s ability to rely on his skill set and not athleticism so much is the main advantage he has in today’s NBA.
“Of course, he could play. He was one of the highest level skillset guys ever to play the game of basketball. He doesn’t rely upon athleticism. Let’s say he would play for the Lakers because he is not going to play for any other uniform. Look who he has out there. Anthony Davis, LeBron. You can plug him anywhere, and he would still give you efficient 17 a night.”
Even though LeBron is playing in his 17th NBA season, he is leading the league in assists and is looking to get every single teammate involved. There is no doubt having Kobe on the team would be like a dream come true for LeBron who showed numerous times he loves to pass the rock more than score a basket.
“It would be amazing. He is the ultimate facilitator. He leads the league in assists now.”
