Carmelo Anthony explains why he yells “Get the F**k outta here” when rebounding

Carmelo Anthony finally signed a contract with the Portland Trailblazers and appeared so far in games for his new team. He is still finding his groove shooting the ball and fitting in with the Blazers, but in last night’s game against the Bucks, Carmelo did something that he is often seen doing when rebounding for the ball.

On one play, which resulted in a miss and a rebound from Carmelo, he yelled, “Get the f**k outta here,” which is his trademark of some sort. We’ve seen him do this multiple times when going for a rebound, and he finally elaborated why he yells that sentence.

According to Carmelo, he’s been doing it for a very long time, and it’s a part of his mindset to be motivated to grab the rebound and attack the glass.

“I’ve been doing it for a long time. I’m coming with the whole mindset, focus, and motivation to get that rebound and being aggressive on the glass, and I’m motivating myself. It’s a mind game when I prepare myself to go and get those rebounds. I love rebounding. Even though my numbers are down right now, I love rebounding. It makes it fun for me to go out there and challenge myself to rebound.”
